Nigrum Corpus
The “Nigrum Corpus” campaign by IDOMED, developed with Artplan São Paulo, powerfully addresses systemic racism in Brazil’s healthcare system through a gripping short film and an educational book. At the heart of the campaign is Corpo Preto, a film based on real-life accounts and research from the Mediversidade project, which follows a Black man navigating repeated microaggressions and substandard care within clinical settings. Visually striking, the film blurs the protagonist to reflect how Black patients are often rendered invisible by the system, while portraying medical professionals with cold detachment. By combining narrative impact with academic insight, the campaign seeks to spark awareness and structural change in medical education and practice.
