Can Someone Find My Friends
Afghan artist and activist Sonita Alizadeh, working with Publicis Conseil, has released the music video for “Can Someone Find My Friends” as part of the “Donate Your Voice” campaign, which transforms global participation into a collective choir supporting silenced women in Afghanistan. Built in collaboration with UNICEF, the project invites people worldwide to contribute their voices via social media, which are then woven into the track to symbolically restore expression to women who are legally forbidden from speaking or singing in public. The film blends personal archival imagery with user-generated contributions to turn the song into both an artistic statement and an activist movement, directing attention and donations toward UNICEF’s ongoing work while advocating for the recognition of gender apartheid as a crime against humanity.
