When Covid-19 shut down the whole world in the spring of 2020, it was difficult for many to find a leg to stand on and especially for the small businesses, entrepreneurs and zealots. Irma's many collaborators, who are struggling to innovate the Danish food scene, had been looking forward to a spring with burgeoning sales in markets, restaurants and cafes. And now everything was closed. So before the zealots got too many gray hairs from waiting for aid packages, Irma came to us. The small producers have always played a big role Part of what makes Irma something special among the Danes is the expectation that there is something very special to find when you explore the shelves. That's why the small, tenacious producers are so important to Irma. Just a week after Denmark shut down, we had developed the concept #TænkSmåt, with a plan to support the small producers. While everyone was waiting for aid packages, we made our own. Six different packages that Danes could buy, filled with mixed delicacies from 24 small producers. We identified all the channels available to Irma and dedicated them exclusively to their small business partners. And here we mean everyone! Print ads, banners on the internet, social media and – not least – Instagram takeovers, where the manufacturers showed off their products "behind the scenes". #TænkSmåt helped a lot! The producers got both extra shelf space, an online presence and a sale that went uncut to themselves, without a financial profit for Irma. Sales of the products increased by 100% in Irma's stores, the campaign had 8920 engagements and 621 #tænksmåt aid packages were sent, filled with 5517 items from the small producers. And most importantly, the hand was held by some of Irma's most important partners – the small producers.
