Joby’s all-electric VTOL spent years speaking to investors and regulators; commercial launch needed a brand future passengers could feel. The system shifts from product specs to the emotional legacy of flight — mid-century aviation optimism, Saarinen curves, Swissair and BAA type DNA — then spans the full ecosystem: custom type with Family Type, a California-sky palette, the rounded Smile framing device, skyport wayfinding, app, livery, and a cinematic site. INK’s 3D and schematic motion explain the aircraft; Apostrophe and Justin Chung photography ground “Shot from Above” and “Head in the Clouds” so the category launch reads as experience design, not a tech deck.
