Open Lines
Duncan Channon and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) launched the 'Open Lines' campaign to help rebuild trust by turning real customer complaints into honest, unscripted conversations led by frontline workers. The campaign, which targeted Californians under 45 on platforms like YouTube and Instagram, aimed to show that PG&E was genuinely listening and committed to change under CEO Patti Poppe’s “lead with love” philosophy. Building on earlier efforts where executives met with customers face-to-face, the campaign addressed issues like wildfire risks and energy costs while emphasizing transparency and accountability. Fully integrated across digital, TV, radio, and print, the initiative was funded by PG&E shareholders without impacting customer bills.
