Bad News Hits Girls Hardest
Plan International Norway, in collaboration with Bureau and B-Reel, highlights the long-term consequences of crises that often go unseen, from collapsed public systems to rising discrimination, violence, trafficking, and abuse. Through three short films set in disaster-affected locations, the campaign shifts focus from the immediate headlines to the “crisis behind the crisis,” emphasizing how girls are disproportionately impacted. Tomas Jonsgården, Director at B-reel Films, notes, “The girls? They’re almost never there… That absence says everything, and it’s exactly why Plan International is needed.” Snorre Martinsen, Creative Director at Bureau, adds, “They have an extra focus on girls.
