Our Ram “Icelandic Vikings | We Will Rock You” Super Bowl spot humorously pays tribute to the setting of this year’s big game, Minneapolis. The Ram Truck Brand fittingly enlists the help of Icelandic Vikings, thought to be some of the first European settlers in Minnesota, to showcase the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Limited – a truck built to take on anything that comes its way. “Icelandic Vikings” is set to an up-tempo cut of “We Will Rock You,” a version of Queen’s ultimate stadium song that was originally recorded in 1977 by the BBC, and follows the epic adventures of the Vikings’ longship being towed across land by the Ram 1500 Limited before the ship tows the truck across the ocean. The spot was filmed in Iceland to ensure authenticity, given the country’s natural and heroic scenery, which was complemented by its low light and frigid look. Director Joe Pytka, a renowned director of many well-known Super Bowl television spots, captured a picture-perfect cinematic adventure to bring this story to life.
