REMA 1000 and Vigo
There was extra pressure on the grocery platforms when Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen sent the Danes home during Covid. With one, many people had an enormous need to be able to order food, basic goods or meal boxes and have them delivered directly to the door. This put extreme pressure on the grocery platforms. At REMA 1000 with Vigo, it is a network of over 100,000 volunteers who shop and deliver goods to each other. It is the one secret that REMA 1000's customers have continued to be able to have goods delivered to their homes during the Corona crisis. The second secret is that REMA 1000 with Vigo hosts the platform in the cloud, where increased pressure is matched by greater server capacity and thus quick responses to everyone. No queuing at all, which gives bad customer experiences. Peytz is responsible for running the technical infrastructure. It is in the cloud precisely to have high scalability. REMA 1000 with Vigo experienced an extremely large influx of customers from one day to the next and was able to continue to stay open. When the daily newspaper Politiken did their annual price check on online groceries on April 4, REMA won 1000 with Vigo ahead of the competition both in terms of price and delivery time. Here, Politiken pointed out that customers could get same-day delivery from REMA 1000 with Vigo. Digital Agency: Peytz
