Rumsans wants to inspire the construction industry to think differently about accessible architecture—an element which to many has been synonymous with checklists, rules, and not least, bad aesthetics. Department of the Built Environment, Aalborg University, wanted to exchange their regulations for inspiration. From this, the idea of ‘Rumsans’ (a Danish wordplay meaning, ‘sense of a room’) emerged—a website with good and aesthetic examples, knowledge, tips, and research about universal design. It takes time to change an industry’s perception. But inspiration has proven to be an effective—and eye-opening—strategy. Since the site launched, we’ve been a close partner and assisted the team with anything from editorial direction to social media presence and copywriting. Signs and wayfinding The visual identity of Rumsans is inspired by classic wayfinding elements – clear and tactile signs and symbols in our everyday life that help, nudge, and direct us to go the right way. Social media management Through interviews with the target group, we analyzed the way architects find inspiration. On that basis, we created the strategy and visual expression to make Rumsans present where the target group is – Instagram and LinkedIn. Editorial support You can't change people's minds by doing the same as always. On a weekly basis, we've assisted with editorial direction and fine-tuning the tone of voice to ensure the inspirational vibes in the texts. Menu system With an open menu system, we could create a fluent experience across all the elements that Rumsans offers. https://www.granyon.com/
