How we got couch potatoes and seasoned sprinters alike lining up for our new app Imagine Spotify, Netflix and Silicon Valley had a baby. The result? Running Stories – the world's first app that guides, monitors and entertains runners, by turning their running routes into the stage for gripping stories using live data. This is how we made an audio augmented reality app that turns runs into immersive experiences. The Problem Let's face it: despite the health benefits, running can be boring. Between traditional fitness apps and storytelling platforms, we saw an opportunity to motivate runners (new and experienced alike) by entertaining them. The Zag Instead of selling the idea to a brand, we did it ourselves. The Solution Running Stories is an audio-tainment platform that turns your running routes into tailored immersive experiences. Augmented audio enhances your surroundings by sourcing live data from open APIs to create a story designed to enter-train you. The app uses your live location data, weather, your running speed and more to make you the main character in the story. It is currently in beta stage, but you can experience our launch story in Singapore.
