In-Between
In-Between is a 12-minute hybrid short film created in partnership with Coldplay and Choose Love, exploring how migration shapes and strains relationships. Directed by award-winning British-Nigerian filmmaker Renee Maria Osubu and produced by Somesuch, the film was shot in Malta and Kenya with the support of refugee-led organisations SPARK 15 and RAAH. Set to music from Coldplay’s 2024 album Moon Music, it follows Omar, a young Ethiopian refugee in Malta, who finds himself living between two worlds—the home he longs for and the life he’s trying to build—anchored by his East African community and phone calls that bridge continents. Predominantly cast with immigrants and refugees, In-Between offers an intimate, human portrait of displacement and belonging.
