Villains
Villains is the second chapter of Telstra's network-security campaign, bringing back Steve Buscemi as the Supreme Emperor of the Zalunians and his hapless crew of alien scammers after their first attack on "Oostralia" ended in failure. The villains return with upgraded schemes, but each plot is shut down again by Telstra's network, which blocks millions of scam calls and texts every month. Directed by Randy Krallman in a retro-futurist, workplace-comedy-in-space style, the series answers more than $2 billion in reported Australian scam losses with humour rather than fear. It rolls out as the 90-second hero film Supreme Leader plus shorter narratives including Scam Jam and Double Brian across TV, cinema, digital, social and Telstra stores, backed by a Telstra site with scam-safety tips. Bear Meets Eagle On Fire created the work with partner agency +61 and production company SMUGGLER.
