The Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN), in partnership with Anthologie, has launched “Deal With It,” a youth-led campaign challenging perceptions of young people with disability. Rejecting pity, inspiration narratives, and softened language, the campaign presents disabled identity as proud, capable, and skilled, with messaging entirely in the first person: “I’m not here for pity. Not here to inspire you. Not here for your approval. I’m disabled and proud. Deal with it.” Developed through a co-design process led by young people with disability, the campaign rolls out across digital video, audio, and targeted online placements, with accessibility embedded in captions, typography, and sensory-safe production. The campaign confronts ableist assumptions head-on, empowering young people with disability to define their own narratives.
