Every year, over 50,000 weddings in Greece feature the symbolic act of throwing rice at newlyweds, leading to the waste of hundreds of tons of edible rice. To address this, The Wedding Rice repurposes rice specifically for wedding tosses, offering an eco-friendly solution that benefits both farmers and the environment. Available at an exclusive price through Wikifarmer’s platform, this initiative reduces food waste, supports local agriculture, and makes a beloved tradition more sustainable.
