Škoda’s windscreen-washer tank lid opens into a soft rubber funnel, so pouring screenwash goes into the reservoir instead of across the engine bay. The part first reached customers on the Scala in 2019 after several failed prototypes — a pull-out funnel in the tank neck that rubbed too much, a folding coil blocked by someone else’s patent, and further designs that failed dust and usability tests — before a newcomer’s cap solution went into production. It then appeared on the Kamiq, became standard on new models, and is sold as a Genuine Accessory that also fits many other Volkswagen Group cars.
