I'm In - Peru
When lockdown hit Peru, it affected everyone, especially the most vulnerable families. The government organised monetary bonuses, but the cash stimulus didn’t reach everyone that needed it. BCP, the largest bank and supplier of integrated financial services in Peru, felt strongly about taking action to help everyone struggling. During the pandemic, BCP raised an impressive $38 million USD thanks to public donations. The bank giant had the specialist knowledge and network to fairly distribute the money raised. To do this, the brand shared hard-hitting ads featuring Peruvian families and famous footballer, Paolo Guerrero, in newspapers and across social media. Ways to donate were available via both online and mobile banking, accepting payments from all over the world. The amount of money raised was equal to 10 telethons, which benefited an impressive 150,000 homes across Peru. The armed forces, police and charities such as UNICEF were also given a share of the money. BCP truly managed to help those in need all across Peru. Agency: OMD
