Boligsiden is owned by the real estate industry and represents all real estate agents in Denmark. For 25 years, Boligsiden has been Denmark’s most visited housing portal. A key part of the company’s DNA is working efficiently within a limited budget to ensure reasonable advertising prices and create transparency in the housing market. Additionally, Boligsiden provides relevant information about the real estate industry to the press and the National Bank. The Challenge Boligsiden faced a significant challenge with a 20-year-old monolithic system platform that could no longer be developed or scaled. This came in an industry characterized by increasing competition, complexity, and growing user demands. It was necessary to replace the entire platform within a short timeframe and under a limited budget to maintain market leadership. The project encompassed the web portal, search engine, mobile apps, database model, APIs, data warehouse, BI, real estate agent system, data portal, and a support solution. As one of the most visited web portals, Boligsiden handles many requests per second. This made scalability a crucial business goal for the new IT platform.
