Cartridge People breaks away from the discount-heavy conventions of printer cartridge advertising with “The March of the Cartridge People,” a cinematic campaign created by Ourselves in collaboration with Treacle7. Inspired by the surreal tone and visual language of The Lobster, the campaign transforms the everyday act of buying printer ink into an absurdly serious arthouse journey. Directed by Daniel Liakh, the film follows deadpan characters carrying printers through misty landscapes, using restrained performances, atmospheric cinematography, and understated humor to elevate a mundane retail category into something unexpectedly stylish and memorable. By replacing urgency and sales messaging with cinematic storytelling, the campaign positions Cartridge People as a brand with personality, wit, and cultural confidence.
