CloudBees Brand Identity
CloudBees, the DevOps company built on the open-source Jenkins project, rebranded to move beyond its Jenkins legacy and present itself as a strategic partner for enterprises moving between on-premises and cloud-native software delivery. Motto worked with CloudBees' internal brand team on a strategy and identity built around helping customers on their journey to the cloud. The creative idea comes from the way bees see the world in ultraviolet light, which lets them spot what others miss, a metaphor for the visibility CloudBees gives developers. The existing DevOps infinity symbol was refined for clarity, and a new wordmark has a deliberate break in the B that echoes the infinity loop and a bee's stripes. An ultraviolet gradient runs through a dark-mode-first palette of black, white and blue, alongside new typography, illustration, digital brand guidelines and redesigned key web pages. The new brand launched in August 2024.
