Interactive AR AIRHOCKEY Table
Take a look at this wonderful AR airhockey table! This was a project from last year, which was unfortunately shut down by the Covid-19 crisis. But Demodern was so stocked and thrilled about the idea that Demodern had to finish the setup to showcase it for you. And if you’ve got a little jealous - don’t. We can pimp your good old table football, pool table or whatever up to a 2022 experience. Evangelists of Prototyping Demodern doesn’t just make normal things look cool, Demodern make them feel cool as well. Once again we have awakened Demodern' inner tech maker and pimped an AIRHOCKEY table with an interactive AR installation. It’s fun to play, looks pretty neat, and well, it raises the game! But to create an interactive AR experience out of the air hockey table, the puk and the digital game it was crucial to bring some little nerdy hardware into play. Nerdy Details Four Natural Point Optitrack Cameras take care of the motion tracking, by sending the data directly to Unity. Meanwhile, a beamer projects the 2D scenery, which includes pop-up messages, timer, speed tracker and dynamic animations like the Puk trail, to come as close as possible to a game-like experience. Next to the IR Cams Demodern is using an IoT Arduino to detect goals and also to communicate with Unity. Customized Augmented Fun The good thing, since the AirHockey table is located in Demodern' office, the almost 100 rounds of iteration....ehhh testgames were at the same time also a way pastime for home office rebels. But hey, entertainment like this isn't just for digital agencies: Take your bar to the next level, add some entertainment to your trade fair booth or offer your employees a little incentive to find their way back to the office.
