To mark its tenth anniversary, the EY Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving social mobility, has launched a powerful TV campaign with Ogilvy UK, highlighting the overlooked potential of young people from low-income backgrounds. The campaign’s centerpiece is a film featuring hard-working Gen Z individuals demonstrating unique skills, challenging stigmas about their work attitudes and emphasizing the missed opportunities for employers who overlook underrepresented talent. The initiative aims to recruit more UK employers to provide equitable work experience placements, building on partnerships with organizations like Ofcom and Network Rail. The campaign will run across TV, digital, print, LinkedIn, and Instagram, with many featured participants having benefitted from EY Foundation programs. Tyrese Walters, a football influencer in the film, and other contributors like Lamia Hossain and Mary-Lou Gooden, exemplify the success of the Foundation’s initiatives. Since its inception in 2014, the EY Foundation has supported over 24,000 young people, collaborated with 322 employers, and facilitated thousands of volunteering opportunities, showcasing its commitment to bridging the opportunity gap.
