Pulp Gospel
Pulp Gospel is the 2025 festival trailer for Love & Anarchy, the Helsinki International Film Festival. It reimagines the "Ezekiel 25:17" monologue from Pulp Fiction with a Finnish twist: instead of a Bible-quoting hitman, the sermon comes from a pastor channelling Tarantino, played by Cannes Best Actress winner Kati Outinen, in front of a church congregation. Written and directed by Jan Sederlöf and produced by Breakfast Helsinki, the trailer is both homage and parody, speaking to cinephiles in the language of cinema. Shown in theatres across Helsinki, it argues that for true film lovers a great film can feel almost religious, a communal ritual that algorithms and streaming feeds can't replace.
