What No One Tells You When You're Expecting
Expectant parents often feel isolated and unprepared despite the abundance of pregnancy books, which tend to be clinical and impersonal. To address this, NYGH developed “What No One Tells You When You’re Expecting,” a unique book written by real parents, sharing the raw, emotional, and often taboo aspects of pregnancy and childbirth. A call for submissions through social media and OOH campaigns yielded over 6,000 contributions in the first month. The resulting 150-page book, filled with vibrant colors and custom illustrations, was distributed to new parents at NYGH, in OB offices, and sold on Amazon. The book quickly became an Amazon best-seller in the pregnancy and childbirth category and continues to be highly ranked. It was downloaded over 4,000 times, and NYGH’s donor email database increased by 300%. The initiative successfully raised awareness and funds for the new birthing center while resonating deeply with parents.
