Mike chez RONA
Sid Lee Montréal teamed up with Quebec home‑improvement giant RONA to launch “Mike chez RONA,” a playful reimagining of the 1979 hit “My Sharona.” Debuting on June 18, 2025, the campaign uses this catchy, brand‑named anthem across multiple platforms to underscore RONA’s values of in‑store expertise, accessibility, and hands‑on service. By securing direct buy‑in from the original band, Sid Lee was able to pivot the lyrics into French‑accented humour—striking a respectful tone that enhances local cultural resonance in Quebec. With a fully developed concept and early lyric iterations delivered to the music rights team, the campaign exemplifies how thoughtful localization and smart licensing can turn global music assets into deeply effective, regionally grounded advertising
