Everybody Loves Coupons
Turning the familiar appeal of discount coupons into a tool for financial recovery, Serasa’s campaign stars Tichina Arnold in a playful story connecting everyday spending with debt negotiation. Created with Oliver Latin America through Pinkers, the film follows Arnold as she arrives in Brazil and enthusiastically embraces the country’s experiences and products, only to discover that her mounting purchases have left her with mounting bills. Drawing humorously on the strong personality and complicated relationship with money audiences associate with her _Everybody Hates Chris_character, the story introduces Serasa mascot Boletinho with an unexpected solution: a coupon offering a discount on debt negotiation. By borrowing the familiar language of retail promotions, the campaign makes tackling debt feel more accessible while positioning Serasa as an ally in helping people improve their financial health.
