Financial services platform Wealthsimple has launched “It’s Over,” a new campaign that uses absurdist humour and striking visual effects to highlight outdated banking practices and consumers’ tendency to accept inefficient systems simply because they are familiar. The film depicts a bank literally collapsing around customers and staff who continue carrying on with routine behaviours, serving as a metaphor for an industry weighed down by legacy processes, fees, low returns and slow-moving infrastructure. Combining physical comedy with advanced pre-visualisation, AI-assisted production techniques and seamless visual effects, the campaign positions Wealthsimple as a modern alternative designed to challenge conventional banking and offer a simpler, more customer-focused experience.
