AXE’s new ad campaign, “Short King,” features Pete Davidson as a hype man helping an underdog overcome his insecurities with confidence boosted by AXE’s Fine Fragrance collection. Concepted by The Martin Agency and directed by JJ Adler, the 30-second spot—airing from May 19 across platforms like YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu—shows Pete encouraging a guy daydreaming about a taller girl to “put his Axe into it” and go for what he wants. The campaign coincides with AXE’s launch of new scents Cherry Spritz and Watermelon Freeze and highlights Pete’s personal connection to the brand, emphasizing how smelling great helped him build confidence growing up.
