The campaign centres on a playful, tongue-in-cheek music track performed by Aussie musicians, candidly lamenting the aches and indignities of getting older while reconnecting over beer. Directed by Matt Devine, the film underscores the insight that as life changes, catch-ups with close mates often slide down the list, yet these connections matter most. Jessica Douglas, Coopers’ brand manager, explains it’s about drinkers who “don’t need filters or pretence.” The campaign also includes a global element, giving two fans the chance to experience Aussie mateship at New York City’s Old Mate’s Pub.
