Rethink’s campaign for Lactantia introduces the “Ultimate Butter Churning Vest,” a running vest designed to turn cream into fresh butter with every stride, inspired by the viral “runner butter” trend on social media. The idea taps into the growing popularity of running culture while showcasing Lactantia’s dairy expertise in a playful, functional product that lets runners literally churn butter as they exercise. Developed with technical apparel designer Simon-David Fortin of Ostrya Equipment, the vest features a BPA-free container, kinetic churning mechanism, insulation, and practical storage for tasting on the go. Beyond the product itself, the campaign includes limited nationwide giveaways and a community “Butter Run” event in Quebec, extending the idea into real-world participation. Led by Rethink with support from Rethink PR and Zenith, the work runs across English and French digital platforms, blending cultural trend-jacking with experiential product design.
