Workday Rising 2025
Workday Rising 2025 was the 20th edition of Workday's flagship customer conference, held 15–18 September 2025 across Moscone South, Moscone West and nearby hotels in San Francisco. It drew more than 32,000 people in person and online. Under the theme "Illuminate: AI-powered. Human-centric. Future-ready.", the event set out to make enterprise AI feel tangible and people-first rather than abstract. At its center was The Core, a deliberately intimate guided installation on the South Expo floor. Small groups met Workday's AI agents through towering LED columns and an interactive tabletop. Around it, the campus was organized by audience: a dedicated West Expo for IT leaders and developers with hands-on Express Labs, persona-led content paths for HR and finance, an invitation-only Executive Symposium, lounges, solution theaters and Braindate peer sessions. Howard Street was closed and turned into Rising Plaza, an open-air activation with stadium seating for keynote broadcasts, a recreation of the diner where Workday was founded, a Rock Stars of Business tour bus and a solar charging station. Wellness and sustainability ran through the whole program, from sunrise 5Ks and sound baths to reused builds, refill stations and food donation. Sparks was the lead experiential agency, working alongside Freeman, George P. Johnson and MKR. The event won the Customer Conference/Event category at EXHIBITOR's 2026 Corporate Event Awards and Silver for Best B-to-B Conference or Event at Event Marketer's 2026 Ex Awards.
