Enough
Thumbstoppers created a completely fake Michelin star restaurant to highlight the growing issue of food disparity in a world of abundance. Commissioned by World Vision, a leading global NGO, this live experience-to-social campaign aimed to be their most ambitious stunt ever as part of the 'Enough' campaign to end world hunger. The fake VIP restaurant featured real food, fake staff, and a fake Michelin star chef, inviting famous foodie creators, celebrities, and press to participate. The event was filmed in a style reminiscent of the show First Dates and the movie The Menu, creating an atmosphere of exclusivity with a central theme of inequality. Upon entering the tense, strange restaurant, diners experienced luxurious fine dining with a twist: one of each pair received a Michelin-starred meal, while the other did not, and sharing was strictly prohibited. This disparity was designed to reflect the real-world issue of food inequality. The entire experience was captured by eight hidden cameras and edited into a two-minute hero film, while the creators recorded and shared their perspectives, blending entertainment with education to challenge traditional non-profit communication norms and combat compassion fatigue.
