Reverse Mentoring is Škoda Auto's programme that flips the usual mentoring direction: colleagues under 30 mentor managers. A four-month pilot paired 20 young mentors with 12 managers for at least three one-to-one meetings on intergenerational collaboration, values, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, leadership, and work-life balance. Managers gained a fresh view of how younger colleagues see the company; the mentors practised coaching, argument and presentation skills and could ask frank questions about careers and leadership. The idea came from a young talent challenge inside the company. Škoda Academy and People & Culture ran kick-off workshops, mentor training and matching, with an external mentoring partner supporting the pilot. From May 2026 managers could also find a younger mentor through the Mentoring Match Box platform in Microsoft Teams, turning the pilot into an ongoing tool for open dialogue and modern leadership across the firm. Škoda Mobil covered the established programme in its June 2026 issue.
