Push Like You’re Pooing
Andrex has launched a campaign called “Push like you’re pooing” as part of its wider “Get Comfortable” mission to reduce stigma around toileting and childbirth. The work focuses on the so-called “labour poo,” highlighting that many women fear it during childbirth, while medical experts note it is a normal sign of effective pushing. Centered on a 120-second film featuring real pregnant women, the campaign explores their anxieties before birth and their shift in perspective afterward, aiming to normalise the experience and open up conversation among expectant parents, families, and healthcare professionals. Supported by expert input from birth organisations and rolled out across TV, digital, outdoor, cinema, and social channels in the UK, the campaign seeks to replace embarrassment with reassurance and understanding around a common but rarely discussed part of childbirth.
