Away’s campaign Travel Changed Me, developed in collaboration with creative agency American Haiku, explores the emotional and transformative power of travel rather than focusing solely on destinations. As part of its ongoing partnership with HBO’s The White Lotus, this installment aligns with the show’s new season set in Thailand. At the core of the campaign is a 90-second film directed by Jordan Hemingway and FKA twigs, with cinematography by Academy Award-nominated Łukasz Żal and production by Object & Animal. Shot on 35 mm film, the piece follows a woman navigating Bangkok’s streets and waterways, evoking a sense of emotional disconnection that begins to shift as she is drawn into the sensory intensity of a Muay Thai boxing match. Through the sights, sounds, and energy of the experience, a symbolic transformation occurs, underscoring the idea that travel leaves more than memories—it alters perception and fosters personal growth. The campaign highlights the notion that meaningful journeys can create lasting change in subtle, profound ways.
