When LO and FTF merged to form the main organization of the trade union movement, FH, a new website had to be created for the 1,400,000 members. There were many wishes, and the most important thing was to brand the new organization with a modern dissemination of the employees' attitudes, politics and background material. In addition to a modern communication website with many editors and a good handful of integrations for various external systems, the site also had to have an internal shop solution for ordering materials. So which CMS should they choose? The two organizations' websites were made in Typo3 and WordPress respectively, and both were happy with their own. Several of the stakeholders were warm to Drupal, so there was plenty to choose from. Peytz is among the largest Danish players in all three CMSs mentioned (and also has a few more in the toolbox), so Peytz knew that all three could handle the task. But FH needed a recommendation. WordPress currently has the world's best editor interface called "Gutenberg". It sets a completely new standard for how easily and freely an editor can build his pages - and still comply with the visual guidelines. The desire for a webshop was met by WordPress with their elegant integration to one of the world's best e-commerce solutions, WooCommerce (which is made by the same organization behind WordPress.) In just three months, FH and Peytz completed a full UX and Design process, focusing on speaking to the members at eye level, putting a human face on the association and emphasizing the brand. Logo and colors were provided by FH's own designer. From there, the agency developed the site with a combination of credible typography, strong contrasting colours, a modern layout and a use of images that show the members' everyday life "without a filter". The result creates identity and follows best practice User Experience. The backend contains several heavy integrations with a sharp focus on fast response times, among other things by using technologies such as React, Vue.js and Elastic Search. The result is a site that fulfills FH's dreams, and was completed on time - even though Peytz worked agile all the way and changed the scope along the way when needs and wishes changed.
