Hide & Seek
Belgian telecom company PROXIMUS launched the ‘Hide & Seek’ campaign to encourage teenagers to disconnect from their screens, reflecting the rising screen-time and tendency to hide digitally. Created by AKQA and directed by Nitram via HAMLET, the campaign reimagines the classic game of hide and seek: teens scrolling on their phones are challenged to “stay offline,” literally hiding by sinking into the ground, diving into bushes, or camouflaging themselves. Participants pre-register and play by switching to airplane mode, with rewards increasing the longer they stay offline, including tickets to theme parks, cinemas, and sports events. The campaign runs across digital, social, web, and digital out-of-home channels in Belgium, culminating on 25 September 2025 when the real game begins.
