150 Years in the Baking
Warburtons has unveiled “150 Years in the Baking”, a celebratory TV advert marking its 150th anniversary and starring Morgan Freeman. The film humorously chronicles the family bakery’s heritage, blending nostalgic scenes with Freeman’s wry narration to highlight generations of dedication to breadmaking. A poignant moment shows a grandfather cradling his newborn grandson, underscoring the brand’s legacy of passing on passion rather than “worshiping the ashes.” The narrative closes in the present day with Warburtons lorries on the road, reinforcing the brand’s enduring role in British life. Premiering on ITV’s The Masked Singer, the campaign combines warmth, humour, and Freeman’s commanding charm to toast the next 150 years of baking.
