World of Warcraft Décor Magazine
To launch World of Warcraft: Midnight, Blizzard Entertainment tapped into nostalgia with a creative campaign designed to deepen community engagement and celebrate player creativity. At its core is WoW Decor, a collectible magazine inspired by classic architecture and interior design publications, but entirely set within the game’s fantasy world of Azeroth. Showcasing elaborate homes and decorations built by players using the new housing feature introduced in the expansion, the magazine reframes in-game creation as a form of design culture, inspiring others to build and personalise their own spaces. Blending physical and digital formats, and extending into nostalgic, TV-inspired content, the campaign turns a gameplay mechanic into a shared cultural moment—strengthening players’ emotional connection to the game while highlighting the evolving ways they inhabit its world.
