Facebook rebranding as Meta was a huge signal to the world that they believe the future of connections lies in the Metaverse. However, people had a very limited understanding of what the Metaverse actually was, let alone the future capabilities it will bring to humankind. Brand New School's challenge was to educate people as to what the Metaverse is, what it can do, and inspire people to come, all in short mixed-media films. BNS chose to showcase the possibilities offered within the metaverse through the lens of these two themes. To ensure they kept the attention of viewers throughout the keynote presentation, they leveraged the energy and dynamism of sports commercials. Knockout...
